Branch Central Control Laboratory

Central Control Laboratory Branch has been established for providing a guarantee on operating safety of constructed large facilities in industry, metallurgy, chemistry and energy sectors. It includes the Headquarter in Sofia with the Centre of Vocational Training and three bases in the towns of Pleven, Stara Zagora and Septemvri.

The main activities performed by the company:

  • Technological control of welded joints and structures;
  • Non-destructive control of base materials and welded joints – ultrasonic, radiographic control (gamma and x-ray) control, magnetic particle control, penetration control, control on density and airtightness, control of insulation and coatings, visual control;
  • Periodic review of the auto tankers for the transport of dangerous goods for receipt of ADR, tanks for liquefied gases (underground and ground) for petroleum products, etc. storage containers, pressure vessels;
  • Destructive control – testing laboratory control on testing through composition chemical analysis, mechanical and structural (metallographic) testing of: steels, cast irons, non-ferrous metals and all kinds of welded joints and materials for them;
  • Control and design of electric systems of electrical installations and facilities up to and over 1000 V – insulation resistance, impedance of phase-protective conductor circuit , contact voltage current ,   switch off current, resistance of lightning earthing protection installations, control of electrochemical corrosion protection (cathodic protection); earthing systems; audits, evaluation and diagnosis of lightning protection and earthing systems; audits, evaluation and diagnosis of electrical networks and power transformer; protection against atmospheric and commutation overvoltage;
  • Corrosion protection systems – ECHP (control and design); exothermic welds for construction of earthing systems and control cables for ECHP;
  • Control of cable lines and busbar systems above 1000 V with increased voltage; control of active resistance and insulation of transformers above 1000 V; breakdown voltage of transformer oil;
  • Development and implementation of technologies in welding and control;
